It's hard to understand...

Postby dinorex on 03/07/09, 22:23

It's hard to understand the mixed feelings for the departure of a close relative...

You are eager to keep its body 'cos of the acquaintanceship; however, you know that is not possible (it's an offense)...

You are eager to keep all of its leftovers; however, you know you can't hold all of them...

When you are processing its post-departure affairs, these feelings are even stronger: say, owing to the high volume of deceased's treatment, it's hard to acquire a 'ticket' to proceed cremation. In view of this, your rational reasoning drives you to line up the queue, but there are some 'traces of delight' in your mind: 'cos you really don't wanna let it go...

Finally, we are at the departure ceremony. Every time you stare at the sleeping one, different moments are coming up in your mind. Happiness, sadness, grievances... all are cocktailed and inevitable.

Up to the last action leading to its cremation (that is, someone press the cremation trigger button), you know it is the time to say something... Even though you are unwilling to do so, you need to whisper 'goodbye' to him, and ask the Almighty to shelter him upon his arrival....

I know just these simple words cannot fully describe the whole thing, but I do hope whoever reads this can prepare your thoughts before you are facing these kinds of circumstances...
